In Cambodia
Hey guys. This place is a real eye opener. The people are so happy and friendly but the place is so dirty and run down. The palace and temples are very rich looking though. It is such a contrast.
I have a question for you to ponder and I would like your thoughts.
Is the money that tourists like me spend in this country (which helps keep poorer people in work) out weighed by exposing people to things, and a way of life, that is out of their reach right now? And if and when that way of life is possible will it ruin what is good about a country like this?
You might want to do some Googling to see if you can get some images and facts about what it is like here in Phonm Phehn (check my spelling... I've gone blank while typing this!) Cambodia. We are only spending one more day here then we are going to go and look at some more remote places.
I hope you are having a good break :)

In Singapore
Hey guys I'm at Singapore airport. Had to sleep on these giant beanbags we found in the terminal last night. Was quite cool really. I wanted to log on here so that (hopefully) Singapore might show up on our map!
I hope you are all having a good start to your holidays. Keep us all informed about what you have been up to :)

Trips away and adventures at home
If you go away or stay at home let us know some of the highlights of your holidays. I expect everyone to comment on this post sometime during the holidays.
School Holiday Sports
Please let us know how you get on with your sports over the holidays. Eilish B, Alex and Mickey are off to Australia for netball, Paddy and Kyle are on their way to Wellington as I type this for league, Michael D is off to Kaiapoi for league, Benjamin is going to be a mascot for West Coast Girls B hockey team in Ashburton, Mattison is going to Auckland for hockey and Chelsea is going to Invercargill for hockey. Grace M is going to be taking equestrian lessons in Nelson. Alex is performing ballet and barefoot dancing at the Regent Theatre. Check out the newspaper to see when the dancing is on and go along and support Alex if you can.
Good luck to everyone that is competing over the holidays. Please keep us informed.
